Not as expected

When I ordered the chart I was expecting something a little larger and easier to read. I also was hoping for more alternative fingering options and trill fingering. I don’t know if the description was a accurate or if I have simply expected more than I should.

Accurate Fingering Chart

Works well for my old Howarth B student oboe.

Useful

An easy ans clear fingering chart which is concise and fits into your oboe case. My only niggle is the fingering shown when using the octave keys it’s not clear whether a key shown is filled in meaning you play it or not meaning you don’t. Notes in question like high d above staff but that said it’s a handy guide.

Great chart but smaller than I thought.

Great Product

Arrived quickly, quiality is great

Good early sound

After a brief initial soak both reeds have sounded good but one was playing a bit flat to start. This now seems to be improving, but of course much of the fault could be with the player!

I am finding this reed suits me and is a good replacement for the Professional bassoon reed that seems no longer available

Disappointed with Product Quality and Customer Service

Upon arrival, the reeds were far too free-blowing, and one had a defective staple where the cork extended past the end of the staple. This raises concerns about whether any quality checks were carried out before shipping.
I contacted Crook and Staple through their online chat function but received no response. I then followed up via email, yet there has still been no reply. Given this experience, I would not recommend this company and will not be using them again.

Oboe reed staples

Delivery was slow… I was told that order had been despatched on Saturday 11th but it didn’t arrive until Thursday 16th!

1x medium hard, 1x medium oboe reeds

Reeds arrived promptly and the responses is satisfactory. Only minor adjustments are needed but it's really to adjust to suit my personal quirks.
